OMG SVB, that second clip was absolutely fucking hilarious. And that they found so many scenes that fit the lyrics so perfectly. Honestly, I am filled with squee! Also, this fanvid was a fantastic montage of Eric throughout the last three seasons. I bet AS is sooo thankful he did NOT get the part of Bill. And frankly, I can’t imagine anyone else as Eric

How so, Phedra? I see two videos very vehemently hating on a fictional character named Bill Compton.
I am sure that Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin have a lovely relationship, although you’re not likely to see that discussed here since as a rule we try to refrain from discussion of the actors’ personal lives. It’s not our business, and I’m sure they’d like it to stay that way.
It’s also obvious that no one here has any certain knowledge as to the actual plentitude of either of the above actors’ junk. Unless, that is, he or she has been lucky enough to see it for themselves. Which seems highly unlikely.
Point is, these are videos about two fictional characters: one who almost killed his fictional girlfriend, and one who has a notoriously GIANT fictional dick. I don’t recall seeing “history of spousal abuse required” or “must have obscenely large meatpole” in any casting calls. Mostly because it is not necessary that either actor meets these qualifications.
They just need to pretend that they do on TV… so that I, along with millions of men and women around the world, can make fun of them and/or make them my fictional boyfriend accordingly.

I guess my issue is I actually love both these characters and actors. Yup, I love em both in the show and books. So, maybe I took it as a knock on SM personally, but I get what you are saying. But equally had it been the other way around, and someone’s knocking eris’s dick, I’d have been equally not as happy. lol. Sounds ridiculous as I’m typing it. I know I’m in the minority and I usually just lurk around here, so I will quietly lurk again. It’s hard when you love them both, so have sympathy! *slinks into corner with tail between legs* Hope that explains why I posted.
Don’t feel bad– I understand Phedra. You’re a woman without a country! LOL. But I promise you that no one here hates Stephen Moyer, or is interested in trashing him. (At least, not that I know of!) It’s unfortunate when fansites venture into that territory, and I appreciate that SVB works hard to keep discussions on this site as far away from the actors’ private lives as possible.
Personally, I think Stephen Moyer is pretty awesome. But I DO NOT LIKE Bill. I don’t hate him as much as some folks do– including, evidently, ErictheSheriff– so there’s that. LOL.

Don’t worry. I definitely prefer Eric in the novels (though I do think AS is great actor), but I don’t hate Bill. And I agree, the line between discussing ones’ like/dislike of a character and the actor who plays that character should not be crossed.

We are all very clear on this site that our loathing for the CHARACTER of Bill is reserved for the character of Bill alone. Spend any amount of time here and you will see that we rarely, if ever venture into discussing the actors, aside from their comments about the characters they play. We are all more than capable of making a distinction between the character and the actor – and I’m sure the actor himself can make that distinction as well
