GollanczUK Unveils Cover for Dead Ever After
October 31, 2012 in Dead Ever After - Book 13
Trick or Treat? Definitely a treat. GollanczUK has revealed their cover for the final Sookie Stackhouse book, and it’s not too hard to see what’s in the blood this time.
Sookie Stackhouse has one last adventure in store.
Life has taken her from a waitress in Merlotte’s Bar, Bon Temps, to part owner; from social outcast to the heart of her community; from a vampire’s girlfriend to the wife of one of the most powerful vampires in the state. She has survived earthquakes, revolutions and attempts on her life. Sookie has endured betrayal, heartbreak and grief . . . and she has emerged a little stronger, and little wiser, every time.
But with life comes new trials . . .
The question is, in the end: who will love, who will live, and who will be dead ever after?
Interesting, although I’m not sure I remember an earthquake…
Let us know what you think!

Oh my stars!
Happy, sad, excited and anxious all at the same time. It’s been a fun ride! I’ll miss Sookie and Eric, but I’m ready for closure too.
Roll on May!
Earthquake?
Well I guess the earth moves every night she is with Eric so that probably shows up on the the local Richter Scale
well no new hints as far as I can see…… but who will live, who will love…that will be Sookie&Eric fingers x
I love the fact that they regard Sookie being the wife of our powerful Viking Vampire as the pinnacle of her love life.
I wondered the same thing with the ‘earthquake’. Maybe they’ll be one in this book? LOL *shrugs shoulders*
So no other hidden pics in the blood? I am no good at that. I see Sookie. LOL
Sookie reminds Bond girl in the cover
Love they mentioned Sookie’s journey and how she ended up being the wife of the ‘most powerful vampire in the state’ and that won’t change!
Earthquake? Really?
LOL at every night with eric is an earthquake ! Amen to that!
Maybe they mixed up the bombing in Rhodes with an earthquake? It shook the hotel.
God I’m dying here! I just want it to be May already! The suspense is killing me!
I find the two covers considered together to be sending confusing signals.
Lisa D’s cover included representation of the various supe relationships in Sookie’s life, implying that they are all somehow playing a role in her life. And somehow everyone’s moving on in a happy way.
With this cover the focal point is blood, implying it is all about vampires. And the James Bond-like appearance, implies a more solitary existence. (James Bond has flings, he doesn’t settle down.)
The covers seem to imply different story lines. ‘Not sure what to make of them.
GollanzUK uses the “blood” covers for all the books. I agree they send a very different message than the Lisa D covers, which I prefer.
this is more mature. But IMO, I like the original cover better. It has a lot of creativity and symbolism. It also goes with the rest of the series.
This is the cover i will get as i’m in the UK, it’s fine, but i prefer the Lisa D one.
If you click on the link for GollanczUK it doesnt say Earthquakes anymore is says explosions…

Haha at least someone over there is paying attention
I am too anxious with that cover art, it implies much. The problem is it’s
all pure speculation. Devoted readers already have some clues, a
reasonable debate will keep us happy, but not wildly outrageous
cover art. The earthquake inaccuracy may have happened in the
home state of the individual writing the story or a missprint.
The only earth movement in the books that Sookie felt was while she was in bed with Eric Northman as her lover. Just sayin’.
Ah, yes, I remember that animal
Thanks for the reminder, I’m gonna smile a secret smile all day now….
Has anyone figured out what is hidden on this cover? I was pretty good finding “the thing” on previous covers, but here I’m at a loss. I’m squinting my eyes but all I see is the obvious gal.
Yeah, I don’t think there’s anything hidden in the blood this time.
Just Sookie, I presume.
