The Saga of Voodoo Bill

March 9, 2012 in Bill, Guest Posts, True Blood

Guest post by Deborah Harvey – you might know her as DH87.

As anyone who has seen my posts on Sookieverse knows, I’ve been one of the prime haters of True Blood Bill since the end of Season 1. Sick of my own constant mewling about how terrible the character is, I found a wholesome and creative outlet for my frustrations when last summer a fellow SVM fan pointed me to and “Psycho7772’s” handmade felt doll, Voodoo Bill. “Dislike Beel’s constant emo whining? Stick him with pins,” urged Voodoo Bill’s creator. That idea was so tempting that I immediately sent for my very own Voodoo Bill.

Once I had him in my hands, I had a stroke of “genius,” something Alan Ball would so relate to. How better to pay homage to Lafayette and Jesus’s Season 3 voodoo-doll dream than to reinterpret some of the best of True Blood, just as AB has re-envisioned the Southern Vampire Mysteries?

Initially, I’m sorry to say, I let the power go to my head. I vented some pent-up feelings of revenge, first, by dunking Voodoo Bill into an antique stoneware pickle pot, as befitting his nineteenth-century origins.

Drive By Post…

July 23, 2011 in Comic Con, Drive By, True Blood

Seen earlier at Comic Con…Stephen Moyer sporting a shirt that says “I love you when you’re not masterminding my downfall”.

I LOVE a man with a sense of humour.

And that’s all I’m sayin’.

Thanks 4 the Memories

It’s obvious by now that the True Blood writing team has taken quite a few liberties with the plotline of the upcoming fourth season—especially where Bill Compton is concerned. Most notably, everyone’s favorite buzzkill has absolutely no time for extravagant South American vision quests when he has a brand new Queendom to rule and so many personal enemies to torture.

But those of us who have read the books know the truth. This fourth season promises the greatest love story of all—a love story between one soul-searching vampire and one very tiny llama. And so it is that I present to you the untold drama of the real season four… via the top four installments of that much-beloved meme I like to call “Bill Compton: The Peru Series.”

1. Forbidden love

Go, Bill… go and find her, and don’t ever let her go.

2. Thinking of you

He’s crying because the world is just so achingly beautiful.

3. I went to Peru, and all I got…

Nobody puts llama in a corner.

4. Hold me closer, Tiny Llama

“It’s like we don’t even have to say anything. She just, like, understands me, you know?”

Season 4 Spoiler Pic – Sookie, Eric and Bill

June 24, 2011 in Amnesia Eric, Bill, Eric Northman, Sookie Stackhouse, True Blood

Haven’t we all wanted to do this at some time?

Amnesia Eric indulges in some wish fulfillment – and you know Her Maj will totally have had it coming.

Spoilery Pic under the jump – thanks True Blood Italy for the heads up.

Seems like the mainstream media has caught onto the idea of Louisiana gaining a new monarch in Season 4.

From Zap2it

As far as the big picture goes, vampire spokeswoman Nan Flanagan (Jessica Tuck) frantically is trying to exert spin control in the wake of recently dispatched vampire monarch Russell Edgerton’s bloody reign of terror — and she has an apparent ally in the character who is now at the head of the Louisiana monarchy, a jaw-dropping change from the original Charlaine Harris novels that is sure to have fans buzzing.

Buzzing all right. I find this plot line so absurd that I intend to ridicule it until September and beyond.

Starting right here.

I knew I’d enjoy this season, but I never banked on having a gold mine such as this.
